Why Clean your air ducts?

Dust settles in your air ducts along with other contaminants like dead skin, hair, pollen, insects, and even rodents. When your AC system is running these particles are pushed through your duct system and distributed throughout your home and/or business.

Can dirty air ducts make you sick?

Yes! Dirty ducts can contribute to allergies, headaches, restless nights, sinus issues, and other ailments.

What are the benefits of UV light sanitization?

Like everything else in your home, your air ducts collect dust and debris over time. Dirty ducts not only cause respiratory health problems but can also serve as a breeding ground for dust mites, mold, pollen, bacteria, and other fungi. The installation of UVC Lights within your HVAC system can create healthier homes and buildings, killing bacteria, viruses, germs, odors, and allergens.

Here are some of the main benefits:

  • Reduces Mold and Mildew: Fungal contamination in HVAC units is a common issue you can't ignore. (Build-up is common in your unit due to the high levels of humidity within the AC unit.)
  • Improves Air Quality: UV lights improve air quality by killing irritants that can make you sick or cause allergies
  • Kills Bacteria and Viruses
  • Improves Airflow
  • Cost-Effective Investment

How do I know it is time to clean my air ducts?

Here are 5 signs to look out for:

  • Excessive amount of household dust
  • You just went through renovations
  • Uneven temperature
  • Your electricity bill gradually increases regardless of a change in use
  • You haven't had your ducts cleaned in over 4 years

*We recommend getting your air ducts cleaned at least once every 4 years.

Why would I need a Blower And coil Cleaning?

Blower Cleaning:

Even when you replace your HVAC filters regularly, over time dirt, dust, dirt, and debris can build up in your furnace blower motor, drastically reducing your AC’s efficiency, which leads to  higher energy usage and  eventually leading to costly repairs. A dirty blower motor also increases the amp pull, which could result in burnt out capacitors, and can cause the motor itself to fail.

When your blower motor is dirty it has to work harder to blow air through your ducts and vents, which reduces the ability of your filter to clean allergens, toxins, and pollutants from your indoor air, which can exacerbate allergies and asthma.

Coil Cleaning:

The condenser coils, being on the outside of your unit, get hit the hardest by dirt and grime. If the condenser coils are dirty, heat won’t transfer out of your home as easily, and your AC  unit has to work harder to maintain your desired temperature, raising  your monthly bills and raising the likelihood of your system breaking down prematurely.

To minimize energy usage and reduce utility costs, your air conditioner coils and blower should be cleaned at least once a year. It is estimated that dirty evaporator and condenser coils can increase the energy usage of your air conditioning system by over 30 percent.
